Through interaction with the companies and organizations of the seafood industry, Danish Shellfish Center's mission is to develop environmentally friendly and sustainable methods of farming, fishing and production of shellfish.

The development occurs on the natural habitat of plants and animals in coastal waters.

Through inhouse research, experimentation and development as well as in collaboration with other research institutions Danish Shellfish Center continues to build knowledge which translates itself into practice and is provided to the profession.
